Seasonal Construction Laborer / Equipment Operator
About The Position
AKHIRE is currently recruiting for the following position: Seasonal Construction Laborer/Equipment Operator ($26 - $32.00/ hour). This is a seasonal position located in Juneau, Alaska, with an ASAP start date. The role involves performing general labor and site cleanup duties, assisting with carpentry, construction, and maintenance projects, and aiding in demolition or tear-out work. The operator will also be responsible for operating equipment such as skid steers, loaders, forklifts, or similar machinery, and loading, unloading, and moving materials throughout the job site. Additionally, the position requires the safe and effective use of hand and power tools, using measuring tools and reading measurement layouts, safely operating hand tools and power tools, working around heavy equipment, and demonstrating teamwork and communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience with general labor AND/OR construction, carpentry, equipment operation, and maintenance is preferred.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather.
- Background check and drug screening required
