About The Position

The Restaurant Cashier supports smooth restaurant operations by processing transactions accurately, greeting guests warmly, and assisting with basic service tasks. This role ensures a friendly first and last impression while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. This position has a season of August 17 to November 1.

Requirements

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent guest service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally with team members, leaders and guests required.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cashier experience preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience in food preparation preferred.
• Proven experience working in high-volume Food and Beverage operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and assist with questions regarding the menu or ordering process
• Process payments accurately through POS systems
• Handle cash, credit cards, and room charges following proper procedures
• Issue receipts, correct change, and verify transactions
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station
• Assist with packaging food items for takeout when needed
• Help restock utensils, napkins, condiments, and grab-and-go items
• Communicate guest concerns or special requests to servers or leadership
• Support service areas during busy periods
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
