This role provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs. The associate will assist customers by understanding their needs, locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise. They will respond to customer and associate questions knowledgeably and promptly, walking them through projects when necessary. The role involves communicating information about stock, special orders, feature benefits, applications, and warranties. For the Tool Rental Department, this includes writing customer contracts and invoices for equipment rental and tool repairs. The associate will also cross-functionally train in other store areas to enhance customer service delivery. Additionally, they will detect signs of shoplifting or security risks and report them, ensure compliance with housekeeping standards for store cleanliness and organization, and maintain a safe and secure work environment by adhering to all safety requirements and conducting daily safety reviews. The role requires operating store equipment as needed.
