About The Position

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying their individual needs, completing cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports store leadership by contributing to performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures. It calls for a passion for beauty, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.

The Beauty Advisor helps meet store sales, loyalty, omnichannel, and shrink goals; greets and assists guests; handles sales and customer-service transactions; demonstrates products and performs makeup applications and skincare analyses; books appointments; and supports services and in-store events. The role also includes staying informed about products and services, participating in training, maintaining merchandise displays and store standards, processing shipments and inventory, and following loss-prevention practices and company policies.

The position involves continuous movement and object handling in the store, frequent standing and bending, and lifting, carrying, or moving items weighing up to 25 pounds. The pay range is $21.57–$25.00 per hour; exact pay depends on factors including education, qualifications, experience, shift, location, and business needs. Eligible associates may earn overtime as required by law. Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to perform the position’s physical activities, including frequent standing, bending, pulling, pushing, reaching, and twisting; continuous mobility and object coordination; and frequent or continuous lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omnichannel sales, and retail shrink.
• Greet and engage guests, identify their needs, answer questions, explain promotions, and recommend products or services.
• Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges, and assist with online orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
• Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
• Stay informed about products and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
• Support an inclusive environment and share guest loyalty, credit, and app benefits with guests.
• Collaborate with store managers and associates to help grow the business, and participate in ongoing training.
• Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
• Replenish, sign, and face assigned work areas and ensure testers are available.
• Maintain store cleanliness and standards across the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
• Complete merchandise resets, planograms, displays, inventory procedures, and shipment processing or unloading using company technology and best practices.
• Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
• Complete other operational tasks as directed.
