About The Position

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor (BA) provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying individual needs, completing cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing assigned tasks. The role supports the leadership team by contributing to store performance, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures. It requires a passion for the beauty industry, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The advisor contributes to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and loss prevention goals. They greet and assist guests, recommend products and services, handle customer service and transactions, support online orders, perform makeup applications and skincare analysis, and help deliver appointments and in-store events. They also maintain product knowledge, participate in training, support an inclusive team environment, follow company policies and dress code, replenish and organize merchandise, maintain store cleanliness, and assist with merchandising, inventory, shipment processing, and other operational tasks. The position requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves mobility throughout the store, frequent standing and bending, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds.

Requirements

Demonstrated passion for guest service and competency in selling.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma.
One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer questions, explain promotions, and recommend complementary products and services.
Handle customer service, sales, refunds, exchanges, and online orders courteously.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
Stay informed about products and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment and collaborate with managers and associates.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Participate in ongoing brand and category training.
Follow Ulta Beauty policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Keep the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
Maintain cleanliness and store standards across the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Assist with merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing.
Protect company assets by following loss prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
