About The Position

The Seasonal Beauty Advisor provides an exceptional experience for Ulta Beauty guests by identifying their individual needs, performing cashier tasks, keeping fixtures stocked, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing other assigned tasks. The role supports store leadership by contributing to sales and in-store events, guest service, and compliance with operating procedures. It calls for a passion for the beauty industry, strong guest service, and the ability to learn and communicate product knowledge. The Beauty Advisor engages guests, answers questions about products and services, provides recommendations, handles transactions and online orders, and may perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations. The role also supports appointments and events, shares information about loyalty programs, participates in training, and works with store colleagues to support business goals. Operational duties include maintaining merchandise and testers, completing merchandising and inventory tasks, processing shipments, keeping the store clean, and following loss-prevention practices. This seasonal position requires a flexible schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work involves continuous mobility and coordination, frequent standing and other movements, and lifting, carrying, or moving up to 25 pounds during a shift. Requirements

High school diploma is preferred.
One year of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience is preferred.
Passion for guest service and competency in selling.
Proficiency with basic technology, such as point-of-sale systems and Apple devices.
Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
Ability to troubleshoot.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

Contribute to store goals for retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omnichannel sales, and retail shrink.
Greet and engage guests, personalize service, answer questions, communicate promotions, and recommend complementary products or services.
Handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously, and assist with online orders.
Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product demonstrations.
Book appointments and support services and in-store events.
Stay informed about products and services, including their ingredients and benefits.
Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
Support an inclusive environment for teammates, peers, and guests.
Promote the guest loyalty program, including credit and the Ulta Beauty app.
Collaborate with managers and associates to help grow the business.
Participate in ongoing brand and category training.
Follow company policies, procedures, standards, and dress code.
Keep the assigned work area replenished, signed, and faced, and ensure testers are available.
Maintain store cleanliness and standards across the salesfloor, restrooms, cashwrap, backroom, and break area.
Complete merchandise resets, planograms, marketing displays, physical inventory, and shipment processing and unloading.
Protect company assets by following loss-prevention practices and providing exceptional guest service.
Complete other operational tasks as directed.
