About The Position

We are hiring seasonal Bartenders to join our Food & Beverage team at our Main Club & Beach Club outlet, starting May 1st. Bartenders prepare all alcoholic drinks for Members and guests at the Main Club or Beach Club, according to professional standards.

Requirements

Prior bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
Minimum age requirement for this position is 18 to serve alcoholic beverages per NYS Legal Guidelines.
Bartenders must be aware of state and local laws concerning the sale of alcoholic drinks.
Unexpired bartender certification.
Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills
Highly active, multitasking type of environment.
Frequent Standing for extended periods of time.
Frequent Walking
Excellent physical fitness, visual acuity and sense of urgency to attend to members’ needs
Work is performed mainly outdoors throughout the summer
Good interpersonal skills
Proactive in anticipating and responding to members’ needs
Comfortable with taking directions as well as communicating with co-workers
Highly responsible and well-organized in tending to members daily needs
Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times

Responsibilities

Know the standard drink recipes and be able to mix them quickly and accurately.
Follow customers' preferences or recipes.
Check the identification of members and guests at the bars to ensure that they meet the minimum drinking age.
Take drink orders and serve drinks using Jonas POS computer system to charge members for their drinks.
Fill drink orders placed by the diners.
Arrange bottles and barwares, wash glasses and clean the bar.
Remove empty bottles and trash and replace empty beer kegs.
Stock the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar.
Keep track of wines, beers, liquors, and other supplies, reporting what is needed to the bar manager.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
