About The Position

Ocean Casino is holding a Hiring Event for Seasonal BARTENDERS and Seasonal In/Out POOL SERVERS. We will hold interviews on Thursday, (June 25th) from 10:00am to 1:00 pm. These positions are for immediate hire so please be sure to bring a copy of your resume and two forms of identification (unexpired State ID and Social Security Card/Birth Cert). Interviews will be held at the Human Resources (Recruitment Office). Parking is available in our customer garage located on Connecticut Avenue. You may park on the 8th, 9th, or 10th floor on “Ocean side” and take the elevator to the ground floor where you will enter through the employee entrance. Once inside, you will make a left and head towards the Security Podium for check-in.

Requirements

  • Minimum of six months’ experience bartending in a high volume front bar, service bar, and/or fine dining environment.
  • General knowledge of beer & liquor brands.
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds and sit, walk, stand, bend, lift, reach, pull, push, kneel, squat, and grasp (for Bartender).
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds (for Pool Server).
  • Knowledge of liquor and bar compliance regulations (for Pool Server).

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of wine varietals preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients.
  • Comply with and enforce alcohol awareness laws and procedures.
  • Adhere to established procedures, departmental guidelines and policies at all times, including but not limited to guest service, cashiering, portion control, sanitation and organization.
  • Recognize and correctly make a variety of beverages, adhere to recipes and specified measured pouring portions with appropriate garnish, accurate pricing, use of proper glassware and proper wine service.
  • Serve food and beverage to pool guests ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain established company and Departmental uniform, appearance and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Responsible for handling cash and credit transactions at the point of sales system.
  • Use proper techniques in ordering, garnishing and delivering items to guests.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain a complete knowledge of menu items offered to guests.
  • Adheres to state liquor laws.
