About The Position

Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Barista to join their talented team for a seasonal position from July 2026 to the end of October 2026. This role is responsible for serving guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of coffee, tea, and food items, as well as information regarding preparation methods. The Barista will provide counter service, take verbal requests, accommodate expediting of requests, and handle special needs or requests using the hotel's point-of-sales system. They will also describe menu items with vivid descriptions, accommodate guest orders, anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, offer suggestions, and respond to guest concerns. Responsibilities include accurately closing guest checks, processing payments, settling voids, and breaking down, cleaning, and setting up the service area. The role also involves complying with Four Seasons' Work Rules and Standards of Conduct, working professionally with co-workers, and assisting with daily inventory and stocking of supplies.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of hospitality or related work experience is preferred.
  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
  • Ability to make coffee and tea drinks at the guest requests and Four Seasons standards specifications.
  • Ability to accurately process cash and credit card transactions.
  • Valid work authorization for the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Providing counter service to guests through taking verbal requests for food and accommodating the expediting of such requests.
  • Including any special needs or requests through using the hotel’s point-of-sales system; check completed orders with the guest’s original order; provide items to the guest at the counter or table in a timely manner.
  • Have the ability to describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods.
  • Accommodate guest orders
  • Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
  • Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items.
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of Stir and its adjacent areas. This include front of house, back of house and seating areas.
  • Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
  • Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Assist with daily inventory and ordering and stock food and beverage and paper supplies.
