About The Position
The Stylist serves as a trusted, knowledgeable advisor who helps customers select products suited to their aesthetic and lifestyle. The role supports customers in discovering and expressing personal style and shows them how to incorporate Kate Spade products into their existing wardrobe. The Stylist welcomes and engages guests, learns about their needs, provides styling advice, and guides them through purchase decisions and checkout. The role also drives sales through customer connections and product storytelling, maintains strong brand and product knowledge, and supports operational excellence in the stockroom and at the point of sale.
Requirements
- Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or local language proficiency, depending on the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, busy season, and high-traffic retail days such as public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver through the sales floor and stockroom.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, suggest add-ons, and create complete looks.
- Show creative ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and provide a seamless checkout experience.
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices and invite customers to return.
- Drive results through customer connections and storytelling.
- Maintain deep knowledge of the brand and product attributes across categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
