About The Position
The Harry Potter Shop NY is hiring holiday seasonal associates! We are hiring seasonal associates for the following departments: Sales Associate (Cash handling, guest experience, etc.) and Inventory Operations Associate (Handle shipments and inventory replenishments). This is a part-time position with an average of 20-24 hours per week. The length of employment is from the beginning of November 2026 to January 9th, 2027.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience working at a retail store
- Minimum 6 months experience with cash handling and customer service or inventory/BOH responsibilities
- Knowledge of Harry Potter series and background
- Demonstrated customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills (i.e. verbal, non-verbal, visual) with the ability to communicate effectively in public to both small and large groups.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail with focus on basic numerical skills
- Highly motivated self-starter with good initiative
- Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Must have open availability for a flexible work schedule that meets the operating needs of the business, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts
- Must be eligible to legally work in the United States
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and varying shifts.
