About The Position

The Health & Services Sector Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) is seeking a mid-level HR Business Partner (P3) to support employees in one of the most remote and extraordinary environments in the world—Antarctica. This is a deployment-only position with primary deployment to McMurdo Station, Antarctica expected from November 2026 through February 2027. A second deployment opportunity from May 2027 through August 2027 may be available. This role serves as an on-site HR and Workplace Relations support to employees and leadership at McMurdo Station, Antarctica, fostering a positive and compliant work environment in a remote, high-demand setting. The ASC HR Business Partner supports HR programs and initiatives, and partners closely with leadership to address employee relations, workforce challenges, and organizational needs. US citizenship is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance is necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4-8 years of HRBP or HR Generalist experience, or Masters with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience
  • Experience managing employee relations/workplace relations matters. Applies knowledge of established best practices and concepts
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptive.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with HR application systems
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
  • US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as on-site HR resource for employees, managers, and leadership deployed to McMurdo Station, Antarctica.
  • Administer HR programs and initiatives (e.g. employee relations, learning & development, compliance) in support of business objectives.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, including documentation and investigations. Serve as liaison among leadership and HR sub teams, assuring adherence to policies.
  • Facilitate training sessions, discussions, and employee engagement activities. Deliver a consistent, high-quality employee experience.
  • Collaborate with on-site managers to meet administrative and operational needs. Additional duties or taskings may be required as needed.
  • Partner with ASC HR and cross-functional stakeholders to design, implement, and continuously improve HR programs.
  • Establish and maintain strong collaboration with ASC Workplace Relations, Third Party Investigations Team, and Leidos Workplace Relations (WR). Perform timely intake, disclosure, and active case management. Drive ownership, disciplined tracking, and clear communication of case status through resolution.
  • Coordinate development, documentation and execution of safety and risk mitigation plans in alignment with HR, WR, leadership and other key partners. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as central point of coordination with third-party investigators, providing seamless integration into internal processes. Facilitate and support meetings with reporting parties, subjects of investigations, and relevant stakeholders. Ensure professionalism, confidentiality, and adherence to established protocols.
