About The Position
Central United Cooperative is seeking seasonal help to assist their agronomy department with pulling NH3 (anhydrous ammonia) tanks. This is an hourly position with flexible hours, including day, evening, and weekend shifts. Overtime is earned after 40 hours per week. Some responsibilities may require a seasonal B license, for which the company will provide direction on obtaining.
Requirements
- Availability to work extended hours during peak seasons
- Must be able to follow directions and effectively communicate with others
- Must have, at minimum, a Class D driver's license and be eligible to obtain a seasonal B CDL OR have a Class A CDL with haz-mat and tanker endorsements.
- A valid medical card is required.
- Employer will verify driver insurability.
- Positions are subject to drug and alcohol testing.
- Must complete all safety training and adhere to safety policies and state/federal safety regulations.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs, climb ladders and stairs.
- Must be able to safely perform all physical requirements of the position
Nice To Haves
- Agriculture background preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Pull anhydrous tanks to and from farm fields
- Maintenance of machinery/equipment
- Deliver fertilizer, chemical, water and anhydrous to operators
- Fill anhydrous tanks
- Assist with chemical and seed warehouse activities
