As a Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) at GALLS, you will be hands-on, altering the uniforms and equipment of our nation�s Public Safety professionals. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are completed properly, accurately, and efficiently so they can wear the uniform proudly. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused � you�re not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in Alterations preferred. GALLS will train!
• Well-versed in industrial Sewing machines, preferred. GALLS will train!

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately identify the customer�s needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations, with the ability to problem-solve individual sizing issues
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
