About The Position
Inspect final product to remove defects and foreign materials; erect boxes and insert liners and bags to meet process needs. Seal all finish product bags, verify that seals are intact, bags are not damaged, and ensure that all cases are run through case detector. All of the following are to be performed while adhering to Tree Top operational policies, safety rules, procedures and good manufacturing practices. It is the responsibility of every employee at Tree Top Inc. to report food safety and food quality problems or risks to personnel with the authority to initiate action against these said possible risks. The Organization chart indicated key personnel with the authority to take action. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job. - Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, reach, feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to climb or balance.
- Must be able to talk, hear, taste or smell.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
- Must be able to occasionally climb and balance.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Must have specific vision abilities including close vision for testing, distance vision, color vision for testing and seeing color, peripheral vision to observe two processes, depth perception for working with equipment and the ability to adjust focus for seeing defective material.
- Must be able to work in extreme heat, with moving mechanical parts, in wet and/or humid conditions, with risk of electrical shock, in high precarious positions, with fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals, in all weather conditions, with vibrations, and loud noise.
- Must be able to work in a loud noise environment.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
- Visually inspect products for defects and foreign materials.
- Maintain adequate production supply.
- Seal finished cases.
- Practice GMP and food safety requirements.
- Communicate effectively.
