About The Position

The primary role of the Sealer/Prepper is to prepare equipment for painting through sealing, masking, sanding and other applications. This role involves operating sealing equipment or using filler to fill holes, dents, and seams. The Sealer/Prepper will also file, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools, and mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting. Additionally, they will mix, blend, and match paint colors, and apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns. The position requires monitoring parts usage, reporting on materials issues, and assisting in ordering replacement equipment, parts, and supplies. The role is performed in a team environment with minimal supervision and requires adherence to safety program standards and regulations.

Requirements

Must have the physical ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
Must be able to distinguish colours.
Ability to work independently.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset.
Previous experience working with sheet metal is an asset.
Previous autobody prep experience is an asset.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset.

Responsibilities
