About The Position

Willow River Company is looking for a dependable, hard-working Sealcoating Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating sealcoating equipment, surface preparation, crack sealing, and applying protective coatings to asphalt surfaces for residential and commercial properties. Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions, including standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs consistently.
• Punctual, reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working effectively both independently and as part of a crew.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in asphalt maintenance, sealcoating, or general construction/landscaping labor is preferred, but we are willing to train the right motivated candidate.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive company trucks and tow utility trailers is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear asphalt surfaces using blowers, brooms, and pressure washers; remove debris, weeds, and oil spots prior to application.
• Route and fill asphalt cracks using hot-pour or cold-pour crack sealant materials to prevent water infiltration and further damage.
• Operate sealcoating equipment—including hand squeegees, brush applications, and spray rigs—to apply professional-grade asphalt sealers evenly and efficiently.
• Assist with layout work and parking lot striping, stenciling, and ADA markings as needed.
• Perform routine daily inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on trucks, tanks, spray systems, and hand tools.
• Follow all safety protocols, set up proper traffic control/barricades, and maintain a clean, organized job site.
