About The Position

Assists manager by ensuring inventory is properly recorded and rotated into stock. Processes fresh fish for customer orders. Selects products from pick tickets and stages orders. Replenishes stock as needed. This role involves working in refrigerated rooms (30-36 degrees) and requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Two to three years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to lift 15-20 lbs consistently, frequently up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Ensure all incoming seafood is properly rotated into stock.
Ensure that production maintains a steady flow to meet production requirements.
Read production schedule or customer order to determine items to be processed, moved, gathered, or distributed.
Convey materials and items from stocked locations to production areas, storage, or other designated areas using an electric pallet jack.
Lift seafood onto a table (15-20 lbs consistently, frequently up to 50 lbs, and occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance).
Use an electric scaling machine to scale fish, which involves standing for long periods.
Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence (e.g., size, type, style, color, or product code).
Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for stock items and distribute items.
Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves, or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department to prepare for shipping.
Mark or label items with identifying information.
Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
Record amounts of items distributed.
Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including the warehouse.
