About The Position

This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers in a fast-paced store environment. Key responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, preparing and displaying products, handling live seafood, preparing party trays, suggestive selling, and cooking/steaming products for customers. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Must be able to work on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Internal Candidates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred
• Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and seafood cases
• Prepare product for cases
• Pull product from cases for proper storage at closing
• Handle live seafood
• Prepare party trays and selected seafood
• Suggestive selling and sampling products for customers
• Cook-fry and steam product for customers
