About The Position

This role involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, maintaining cleanliness of the work area and equipment, preparing seafood products for display and sale, handling live seafood, preparing party trays, suggestive selling, and cooking/frying/steaming product for customers. Regular, reliable attendance is essential, and adherence to company safety and sanitation procedures is required. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job
• Follow company safety and sanitation procedures
• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store/Facility Teammates)
• Minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred (for Store Support Center Teammates)
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline)
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, seafood cases, and backroom
• Prepare product for cases
• At closing, pull product from cases for proper storage
• Handle live seafood
• Prepare party trays and selected seafood
• Suggestive selling and sampling products for customers
• Cook-fry and steam product for customers
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management
