About The Position

This position involves providing friendly and courteous service to customers, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the seafood department, preparing and displaying products, and assisting customers with their seafood needs. The role requires adherence to company safety and sanitation procedures, suggestive selling, and potentially cooking or steaming seafood for customers. Training will be provided at the store level.

Requirements

• 18 years or older to apply
• Regular, reliable attendance
• Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)
• Internal Candidates (Store/Facility Teammates): minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Internal Candidates (Store Support Center Teammates): minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
• Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
• If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment, and seafood cases
• Prepare product for cases
• Pull product from cases for proper storage at closing
• Handle live seafood
• Prepare party trays and selected seafood
• Suggestive selling and sampling products for customers
• Cook-fry and steam product for customers
• Other duties as assigned at the discretion of store management
