The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for creating and leading the technical design and development of software solutions, proposing and designing solutions for complex business needs, and preparing technical and procedural documentation. They facilitate complex problem resolution, provide technical guidance to colleagues, and review software coding, testing, and documentation. The role involves applying modern principles, methodologies, and tools to advance business initiatives and capabilities. Employees are expected to be customer-focused, understanding and leveraging customer needs for customized solutions, and adept at managing risk in alignment with PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.

Requirements

  • University / college degree, with 3+ years of relevant / direct industry experience.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
  • Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
  • Assessing and effectively managing all of the risks associated with their business objectives and activities to ensure they adhere to and support PNC's Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Competencies: Application Delivery Process, Application Design, Architecture, Application Development Tools, Application Testing, Packaged Application Integration, System Development Life Cycle, Technical Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
