About The Position

The financial wellness intern will be responsible for planning and executing events that promote the growth of financial literacy skills across campus. They will learn the basics of financial literacy concepts such as credit, retirement, investing, budgeting, and student loans and share information and resources on these topics with their peers.

Requirements

  • Students must be detail-oriented, mature, reliable, creative, and possess a strong work ethic and a high level of integrity.
  • Students must be comfortable presenting on financial topics to peer groups and must have excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior knowledge of financial literacy topics is not required, students should have a desire to learn about and promote financial literacy.
  • Previous content creation and/or social media experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out multiple financial literacy events over the academic year, including creating content for workshops, presenting to small to large student groups, and tabling to promote events and share additional resources.
  • Create social media content and physical resources (guidebooks, flyers, etc.) about financial literacy topics.
  • Think creatively about new initiatives and resources to improve financial literacy among students.
