About The Position

This is a build job focused on establishing BLP's US pipeline and sales motion. The role involves building and leading a team of 6-8 Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will act as a Playercoach, responsible for hiring, training, and coaching the SDR team, as well as developing the US sales playbook from scratch. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in ambiguity and wants to own the creation of a new function within a growing SaaS company. The position reports directly to the VP of Business Development and works closely with the US country lead.

Requirements

  • Managed an SDR or BDR team before, ideally in enterprise B2B SaaS.
  • Experience hiring and ramping reps.
  • Carried and hit a pipeline number as a leader and can forecast honestly.
  • Knowledge of the US market and US enterprise buyers, ideally with exposure to Finance, Procurement, or Operations personas.
  • Strong coaching abilities.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.
  • Ability to build a team culture with high standards and enjoyment.
  • Takes ownership, asks for help when stuck, acts on feedback fast, and holds the team to the same standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience standing up an SDR team in a new market or region.
  • Knowledge of the ERP domain, or led teams selling Finance, Procurement, or industrial software.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot and Clay.
  • Experience building scorecards and review cadences from scratch.
  • Exposure to ERP, Purchase-to-Pay, or Order-to-Cash processes.
  • Experience selling into Finance and Procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Hire the founding US SDR team of 6 to 8 reps.
  • Own the US SDR pipeline number and forecast it accurately.
  • Build the processes for outbound cadence, qualification, SDR-to-AE handoff, and CRM hygiene.
  • Coach the team daily through call reviews, 1:1s, and live feedback.
  • Ramp the team fast with an onboarding process that is continuously improved.
  • Adapt the DACH playbook to the US market and develop US-specific strategies.
  • Partner closely with the US country lead and AEs on targeting and account strategy.
  • Act as a player-coach, being on the phones enough to understand what works and lead the team that scales it.
  • Create the US ICP, validated with RevOps.
  • Develop scorecards and review cadences to make performance visible and coachable.
