About The Position

We're seeking an experienced SDET/QA Engineer to join CODVO.AI's Engineering team and ensure the quality and accuracy of our financial reconciliation platform. In this role, you'll validate complex reconciliation workflows, design comprehensive test strategies for data-heavy processes, and serve as the quality gatekeeper before go-live. Your meticulous attention to detail and testing expertise will directly impact the reliability of our fintech solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional QA testing experience, with preference for fintech or insurance domain expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to write detailed, comprehensive test cases for complex, data-heavy financial workflows
  • Advanced Excel proficiency to manually verify reconciliation outputs, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis functions
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven ability to identify amount, date, and ID-level discrepancies
  • Strong communication skills and ability to document findings clearly for technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with iterative testing cycles
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with self-directed time management

Nice To Haves

  • Experience testing AI-generated outputs for consistency, accuracy, and bias detection
  • Proficiency with pytest, unittest, or other Python-based test automation frameworks
  • Familiarity with reconciliation processes, data matching algorithms, or financial workflows
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration
  • Knowledge of SQL for data validation and test data creation
  • Exposure to API testing or end-to-end testing tools
  • Background in fintech, insurance, or regulated financial services

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute comprehensive test cases covering all reconciliation scenarios—matched, missing, duplicate, mismatch, and unmatched records—ensuring end-to-end accuracy across the platform
  • Create robust test data sets that capture edge cases, boundary conditions, and real-world financial scenarios to validate system behavior under diverse conditions
  • Perform regression testing after each build to identify regressions and ensure previously fixed issues remain resolved
  • Validate reconciliation outputs by manually verifying Excel and PDF reports against expected results, with sharp focus on amount discrepancies, date accuracy, and ID-level matching
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using pytest or equivalent tools to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing overhead
  • Document detailed test results and defect reports with clear reproduction steps, severity levels, and supporting evidence for engineering teams
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements, clarify test scenarios, and communicate quality metrics and blockers
  • Sign off on data accuracy and report integrity before production releases, ensuring stakeholder confidence in reconciliation results

Benefits

  • Flexible work arrangement: 100% remote with core hours 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • Competitive compensation: Commensurate with experience and expertise
  • Growth opportunities: Work on cutting-edge AI-driven financial technology with opportunities to expand your skill set
