About The Position

NTT DATA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) to join its team onsite in Plano, Texas. This hands-on role focuses on test automation, quality engineering, and software development. The engineer will build scalable automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and help ensure high-quality software delivery.

Requirements

• 8+ years of SDET, QA Automation, or Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.
• 5+ years of API testing experience with REST services, using tools such as Karate, Rest Assured, and Postman.
• 5+ years of experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or CircleCI.
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Java/Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Experience with Datadog, Splunk, or other observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain UI, API, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
• Develop automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Review requirements and technical designs to improve quality and testability.
• Troubleshoot defects and drive continuous quality improvements.
• Mentor team members and promote quality engineering best practices.
