About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SDET Automation Test Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX. This role requires a strong background in software quality assurance, with a focus on automation framework development and API testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of microservice architectures, excellent programming skills, and experience with CI/CD pipelines. This is an onsite position requiring face-to-face interaction from day one.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance.
  • Substantial hands-on work in quality engineering.
  • Deep understanding of microservice architectures and related technologies.
  • Strong programming skills with the ability to develop and troubleshoot code in languages such as Java, Groovy, Python, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in REST API-based testing.
  • Solid background in developing and enhancing test frameworks.
  • Experience writing automation scripts.
  • Experience utilizing test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or comparable platforms.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in requirements analysis.
  • Understanding of basic application architecture.
  • Well-versed in the entire software development lifecycle and all major test cycles.
  • Superior written communication skills for clear documentation and bug reporting.
  • High degree of organization, attention to detail, and responsiveness.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Java, API Automation Framework development experience.
  • Solid understanding of Rest Assured.

  • Experience leading and managing QA teams and resources for 2-4 years.
  • Demonstration of strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Exposure to AI-driven testing solutions.
  • Use of artificial intelligence to enhance quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance test automation frameworks.
  • Write automation scripts using languages such as Java, Groovy, or Python.
  • Perform REST API-based testing.
  • Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Analyze requirements and understand basic application architecture.
  • Participate in all major test cycles, including unit, regression, functional, system, performance, volume, and user acceptance testing.
  • Document and report bugs clearly and effectively.
  • Collaborate effectively in team environments.
  • Work independently and be self-motivated.
