Requirements

You have excellent computer science fundamentals
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
5–8 years of professional experience building full-stack applications and backend services in production environments.
Strong experience designing and building backend services and RESTful APIs using technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
Experience building modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and service-oriented design.
Experience designing scalable architectures for high-traffic consumer-facing applications.
Strong understanding of system performance optimization across both frontend and backend systems.
Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases and designing scalable data models.
Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently while leading technical initiatives within cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ecommerce systems including backend services, APIs, and customer-facing web and mobile applications.
Lead development of complex features that power the customer-facing shopping experience including browsing, discovery, product pages, cart, and checkout flows.
Architect and implement backend services and APIs that support high-scale ecommerce functionality and power critical customer experiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, mobile, and engineering teams to define requirements and implement scalable solutions.
Design scalable system architectures that support high traffic and large-scale ecommerce workloads across backend services and frontend applications.
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code while setting a high engineering bar for quality, scalability, and maintainability.
Debug and resolve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and system stability across the full stack.
Drive best practices in system design, testing strategies, performance optimization, and engineering architecture.
Design APIs, services, and data models that support extensible and scalable platform development.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive technical feedback to peers.
Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure high-quality code and reliable releases across services and applications.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and recommend tools and frameworks that improve the storefront platform.
Mentor and guide engineers on the team while helping raise the technical bar across the organization.
