About The Position
The Sculpture lab monitor's responsibilities are as follows; Monitor the sculpture labs ensuring safe practices are being followed Check in lab visitors and verify their training for each area they are requesting to work. Perform other shop maintenance tasks such as emptying sawdust bins, cleaning sinks, vacuuming shops, sweeping, refilling paper towel dispensers and other tasks as needed. Turn on and off welding gas for metals shop Ensure shops are clean and secure at the end of shift.
Requirements
- Work study approved
- Possess a strong understanding of safe practices working in the sculpture labs
Nice To Haves
- Available to work weekends
- Are a current or past sculpture student
- Have experience working in a metal, wood or fabrication shop
