About The Position

Human Made is seeking a freelance Scrum Master to join their fully remote team. The role involves creating self-organising, flexible, and productive teams during sprints to achieve high performance. This includes planning deliverables, monitoring team performance, and coaching teams on scrum/agile concepts. The Scrum Master will focus on understanding and pursuing value aligned with company priorities.

Requirements

• Scrum Master certification or qualification, or equivalent work experience
• Experience applying scrum, a wider awareness of agile principles, and a data driven mindset
• Enterprise agency environment experience
• Highly developed skills in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
• Experience in using a wide range of project management tools such as, budget/time tracking tools and issue tracking software with the depth of knowledge to recommend the right tools for a project
• Proficiency in written and oral communication in English, and ability to utilise and parse through technical terminology comfortably
• Broad understanding of web technologies such as HTML/HTML5, CSS, CMS, Javascript, and version control

Responsibilities

• Applying Scrum To Produce High Quality Work: Manage project scope and timeline, create and maintain a team culture for shared responsibility, guide teams on agile principles, define and refine project scope, estimates, and resource requirements, prepare and facilitate workshops, facilitate meetings to monitor progress and resolve issues, remove impediments, assess and communicate the impact of scope change, and identify when to use experiments for learning.
• Accountability To The Business: Be commercially aware, understand project budget status, and report on them, manage project needs in conjunction with squad composition.
• Building And Safeguarding Relationships: Facilitate engagement with internal and external stakeholders, build partnerships with clients, understand client business imperatives, understand account workings and needs, communicate regularly and proactively, manage client and internal team interactions professionally, and use data for critical decisions.
• Striving For Great Work: Develop creative and technical judgment, share progress with stakeholders, conduct team reviews and retrospectives for continuous improvement, endorse and present appropriate metrics for continuous improvement, and report progress, team status, and issues.
