About The Position

The Mission We are looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to champion agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement within our delivery teams. You will not just facilitate ceremonies; you will be the guardian of the team’s health, focus, and velocity. Your goal is to foster a self-organizing culture, break down systemic impediments, and help the team deliver high-quality increments with predictability. This position is an onsite role in Aurora, CO

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience
  • Industry certifications such as CSM, PSM I/II, or PMI-ACP, demonstrating your dedication to Agile methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean principles, and scaling frameworks (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
  • Experience developing object-oriented software using C++ and Java, as well as knowledge of DevSecOps methods, microservices, and containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka).
  • Expertise in leveraging data to identify bottlenecks and drive improvements, without weaponizing metrics against the team.
  • An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the team on self-organization, cross-functionality, and Agile best practices.
  • Lead effective Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Reviews, and Retrospectives to drive team alignment and productivity.
  • Protect the team from external distractions and ensure focus on sprint goals.
  • Proactively identify, track, and resolve organizational and technical blockers.
  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and refine the backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined and actionable.
  • Use burn-down charts, velocity metrics, and continuous flow diagrams to identify areas of improvement and sustain team momentum.
