Scrum Master
About The Position
Alpha Omega is searching for an experienced Scrum Master to join one of our long-term Federal projects. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, leading a team on large projects or significant segments of large and complex projects. The Scrum Master will analyze new and complex project-related problems and create innovative solutions, provide applications systems analysis, and develop long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, systems maintenance, and production activities. The position requires ensuring adherence to agile methodologies, Lean-Agile principles, and the SAFe framework, facilitating effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders, and coaching and mentoring team members on agile practices and principles. Conflict management and resolution within the team or between stakeholders are also key responsibilities. The role utilizes Agile and project management tools such as Azure DevOps to track progress and facilitate collaboration.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, plus 4-5 years of professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of agile methodologies, Lean-Agile principles, and the SAFe framework.
- Excellent facilitation, communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in managing and resolving conflicts.
- Proficiency in Agile and project management tools such as Azure DevOps.
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of work experience.
Nice To Haves
- SAFE Program Consultant (SPC) certification preferred.
- Experience leading large and complex projects.
- Familiarity with software development processes and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in project management or agile methodologies (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, PMI-ACP).
