Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph Location: National Capital Region (NCR) or San Antonio, TX Nightwing is seeking a Scrum Master that serves as a servant leader and coach for the Agile team, facilitating SAFe implementation and ensuring adherence to agreed-upon processes. This position removes impediments, fosters high-performing team dynamics, and drives continuous improvement. The Scrum Master educates the team in Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban, and SAFe practices while supporting the team's self-organization and goal achievement.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of Agile team experience with 3+ years as Scrum Master
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent substitution)
- Active Certified SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification required
- Strong understanding of SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and XP practices
- Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies in classified environments
- Excellent coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Must be U.S. citizen
Responsibilities
- Facilitate all team-level SAFe ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives)
- Coach team members in Agile and SAFe practices
- Identify and remove impediments to team progress
- Foster environment for continuous flow and relentless improvement
- Support Product Owner in backlog management and refinement
- Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.)
- Escalate unresolved impediments through appropriate channels
- Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution
- Participate in Scrum Master communities of practice
- Support Program-level events and coordination
