About The Position

Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Scrum Master for one of our clients. The designated candidate for this position will join a collaborative team environment, providing support and expertise necessary toward the successful delivery of the project deliverables, and provide effective communication to all levels of staff for reporting status/progress.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (or 9 years of relavent experience in lieu of a degree)
Minimum 5 years of work experience (including internships)
Clear written communication and documentation skills
Experience with Agile framework and working on a Kanban or Scrum team
Experience with Agile Project Management (Intermediate)
Experience with Business requirement Analysis (Intermediate)
Experience with Jira (Intermediate)
Must be able to work independently, with minimal oversight.
Able to develop strong client relationships.

Nice To Haves

Experience with creating and monitoring tasks in JIRA
Application/software requirements gathering experience

Responsibilities

Exhibit Lean-Agile leadership, adopt and apply Agile Principles, and implement Agile practices
Promote Agile quality practices so the team can meet its goals. Identify and work to mitigate impediments
Facilitate all team meetings, including (but not limited to) the Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospective
Guide the team in estimating the team’s work
Keep the team focused on daily and sprint goals to include achieving results, quality, flow, and velocity
Identify functional requirements and create user stories
Test developed stories and ensure application quality
Solve problems and provide technical support to application end users
Develop and maintain documentation and training materials
Assist with data mapping
