Position Overview: The Scrum Master for Digital Projects at Commercial BI&T will be responsible for facilitating and guiding the Agile development process for our initiatives. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, and product owners, to ensure the successful delivery of Digital projects. The Scrum Master will help the team adhere to Agile principles, remove impediments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Large-scale, multi-region Foundational Data Transformation program migrating fragmented commercial pharma data warehouses onto a governed Databricks platform. The program consolidates enterprise data sources (sales, market access, patient services, omni-channel, and master data) into standardized, AI-ready data products across US, EU, and other global markets, and rebuilds existing analytics pipelines to new data modeling standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Technical / data background with long track record of experience as a Scrum Master.
Proven track record of successfully delivering data / analytics-focused projects.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage teams and engage stakeholders.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, assess risks, and develop solutions.
Ability to facilitate meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes effectively.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and project requirements.
Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
High level of attention to detail to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
Commitment to continuous learning and improvement of Agile practices and processes.

Nice To Haves

A master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PMI-ACP) is a plus.
Pharma GxP software development experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Assist the team in defining sprint goals, planning tasks, and estimating effort for each sprint.
Work with the Product Owner to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprints.
Coach team members on Agile principles and practices, helping them to understand and adopt Scrum methodologies.
Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that may hinder the team's progress.
Promote a collaborative team environment where open communication, trust, and respect are encouraged.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, machine learning engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders, to ensure alignment and integration of projects.
Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and issues.
Facilitate sprint retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement actionable plans to enhance team performance.
Continuously assess and improve Agile processes and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure team performance and project progress.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders and senior management.
Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop mitigation strategies.
Proactively address and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
