About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking to hire an experienced Scrum Master. As the Scrum Master in this role, you will manage, support, and coach teams in Agile frameworks, methodologies, principles, and practices to deliver high quality products and services to a global Federal customer. You will schedule, prepare for, and facilitate Agile ceremonies including Product Backlog Refinements (PBRs), Daily Stand Ups (DSUs), demos, and Program Increment (PI) Planning events. You will participate in meetings to ensure cross-team collaboration and delivery/deployment of products and services. You will coordinate and guide the entire program to higher levels of Agile maturity. You will help the team focus on daily and iteration goals in the context of current PI objectives. You will assess customer requirements, objectives, and priorities to better inform and guide Agile practices. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, internal operations and engineering teams, external trains, and other scrum master’s to help drive decision-making that support organizational goals. You will assist teams and product owners with managing backlog, documenting acceptance criteria, assessing scope, and ranking and prioritizing work items. You will identify and track dependencies both to and from the program and collaborate with the other trains on action items. You will assist teams and product owners with updating task tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, SharePoint). You will review and audit task tracking tools to ensure adherence to Agile practices and processes. You will collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTE) to ensure guidance, processes, and training materials are current/updated. You will drive development of comprehensive, executive-level dashboards that provide essential Agile information to program leadership. You will identify impediments to, and improvements for, long-term Agile success by promoting transparency and communication and fostering a safe environment for escalating issues or blockers.

Requirements

  • 14 years with a Bachelor's degree; 12 years with a Masters; 9 years with a PhD. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree requirement.
  • Applicants must currently hold one of the following professional certifications or obtain one prior to start date (continued certification required): CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP, Security+ CE, Project+, Agile Scrummaster
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Project Coordinator, or Project Manager, preferably for a federal customer.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
  • A proven track record of successfully supporting programs using Agile methodologies, preferably for a software development, database management, infrastructure, or network environment with multi-function teams.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating and participating in Agile ceremonies/meetings, coordinating projects and work, creating/distributing minutes, and action items, and tracking action items to completion.
  • Experience with project tracking and collaboration tools (Jira, SharePoint, MS Teams, and/or Confluence).
  • Demonstrated strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience providing operational task support in a highly demanding environment.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret security clearance.
