Scrum Master
About The Position
The Scrum Master will exhibit Lean-Agile leadership, adopt and apply Agile Principles, and implement Agile practices. This role involves promoting Agile quality practices to help the team meet its goals, identifying and mitigating impediments, and facilitating all team meetings. The Scrum Master will guide the team in estimating work, keep them focused on daily and sprint goals, and identify functional requirements and create user stories. Additionally, the role includes testing developed stories, ensuring application quality, solving problems, providing technical support, developing documentation and training materials, and assisting with data mapping.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of work experience (including internships)
- Clear written communication and documentation skills
- Experience with Agile framework and working on a Kanban or Scrum team
- Agile Project Management
- Active Top Secret Clearance Required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with creating and monitoring tasks in JIRA
- Application/software requirements gathering experience
Responsibilities
- Exhibit Lean-Agile leadership, adopt and apply Agile Principles, and implement Agile practices
- Promote Agile quality practices so the team can meet its goals. Identify and work to mitigate impediments
- Facilitate all team meetings, including (but not limited to) the Daily Stand-Up, Sprint Planning, and Sprint Retrospective
- Guide the team in estimating the team’s work
- Keep the team focused on daily and sprint goals to include achieving results, quality, flow, and velocity
- Identify functional requirements and create user stories
- Test developed stories and ensure application quality
- Solve problems and provide technical support to application end users
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials
- Assist with data mapping
