About The Position

CAA-Québec is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join the Senior Vice President of IT department. This role will support multiple teams responsible for the development and operation of strategic digital products. As a facilitator and performance catalyst, you will contribute to agile best practices, smooth value delivery, and the resolution of systemic obstacles. You will also play a key role in developing autonomous, collaborative, and highly mature teams. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) with a hybrid remote work model, requiring two days per week at our Quebec or Montreal offices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in comparable roles (Scrum Master, Project Management, Agile Delivery).
  • Solid experience with various agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Good command of agile performance indicators (burndown, velocity, lead time, cycle time).
  • Proficiency with agile and product management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Kanban boards).
  • Concrete results delivery, effective prioritization, and focus on value.
  • Mobilizing leadership, proactivity, and ability to positively influence teams.
  • Ability to support, coach, and grow teams towards greater autonomy and maturity.
  • Collaborative spirit, commitment, and ease of working in a team.
  • Good judgment, analytical skills, and ability to get to the heart of the matter.
  • Autonomy and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Advanced French and functional English.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a facilitator to ensure team members work smoothly and efficiently at a sustainable pace, continuously optimizing their operating methods.
  • Lead team meetings (daily stand-up, planning, retrospectives, etc.), maximizing their value and impact on overall performance.
  • Support team members in task assignment and tracking to completion, reinforcing their accountability and autonomy.
  • Participate in backlog development, ensuring its consistency and continuous updating.
  • Ensure teams focus on business priority deliverables.
  • Coach teams in estimation, planning, and commitment management, promoting increased predictability.
  • Promote values such as trust and respect, and encourage open discussion and collaborative resolution of issues.
  • Facilitate the removal of obstacles, including those with cross-functional or organizational scope.
  • Coordinate dependencies with other teams and contribute to alignment between initiatives, particularly in multi-team or program contexts.
  • Play an active role in the continuous improvement of agile practices at both the team and organizational levels.
  • Train and support team members and stakeholders in the adoption and evolution of agile practices.
  • Ensure visibility of progress and performance to stakeholders by providing and interpreting relevant flow indicators and metrics to support decision-making.
  • Contribute, through expertise, to the evolution of product management and delivery practices within the organization.
