About The Position
SunSoft Online is hiring a Technical Scrum Master for an Arizona state agency, supporting a large, multi-phase greenfield enterprise system implementation. The role involves coaching a team new to Agile through the transition from Waterfall, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supporting backlog refinement and prioritization, coordinating dependencies across technical and business teams, removing impediments involving vendors, integrations, and organizational processes, and helping to clear technical roadblocks throughout the implementation. The position is primarily remote with periodic onsite meetings in the Phoenix metro area.
Requirements
- Must currently live in the Phoenix metro area, with city listed on resume
- U.S. citizen or green card holder
- No sponsorship
- W2 only, no C2C
- 10+ years of experience on large, multi-phase complex system implementations, preferably tax-related or financial systems
- 3–5+ years as a Scrum Master in a software development environment
- Demonstrated experience transitioning teams from Waterfall to Agile
- Experience managing complex dependencies on large greenfield enterprise systems
- Technical background, ideally having served as a developer at some point
- Excellent communication and vendor relationship management skills

- Public sector or fintech experience in a regulated environment
- Jira or Azure DevOps, including queries and reporting
- COTS product implementations
- End-to-end data management, integration, conversion, and cleansing
