As a Scrum Master III, you will serve as a servant leader and Agile coach, helping guide a high-performing software development team within Safety National’s SAFe environment. You will play a critical role in driving delivery excellence by facilitating sprint activities, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program objectives and organizational goals. You will lead key Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives while ensuring your team remains focused, productive, and aligned. By leveraging data-driven insights such as velocity and performance metrics, you will coach your team to continuously improve outcomes. You will also proactively identify risks, manage dependencies, and optimize workflows using Kanban principles. Your ability to influence team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and promote accountability will be essential in building a self-organizing, high-performing Agile team that consistently delivers high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in a Scrum Master role
  • Strong familiarity with software development environments and Agile methodologies
  • Expert-level knowledge of Scrum techniques, artifacts, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills
  • Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and organizational abilities
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
  • This position allows for a hybrid work schedule which includes a minimum of 3 days per week in our St. Louis Corporate Office, located at 1832 Schuetz Rd. Saint Louis, MO. All employees are required to submit work from home requests and follow our Work From Home policy, which will be provided to all candidates selected to interview.

  • SAFe Scrum Master certification
  • Experience facilitating cross-team collaboration within Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Experience with capacity planning, PI planning, and Agile forecasting techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to use metrics (e.g., velocity, say/do ratios) to drive team performance improvements
