About The Position
The Scrubber Operator is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all Distribution Center (DC) floors using a sweeper. This role involves operating the sweeper safely, performing daily maintenance checks, and hand sweeping areas not accessible by the sweeper. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and company policies to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Occasionally lift and move up to 10 pounds.
- Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Required to operate Scrubber.
- Required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements.
Responsibilities
- Completes the daily Scrubber checklist to ensure equipment is working properly and reports any defects to management and/or maintenance.
- Operates Scrubber in a safe manner.
- Sweeps and mops all DC floors utilizing sweeper.
- Ensures sweeper is cleaned daily.
- Hand sweeps areas as determined by need.
- Hand sweeps all assigned areas not accessible by sweeper to include the inside perimeter of the Distribution Center.
- Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety.
- Maintains an organized work area and promotes a safe working environment with the Maintenance department.
- Follows all Company policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
