Certified Surgical Technician Assists with basic nursing care and preparation of surgical patients of all ages under the direct supervision of the staff nurse assigned. Assists in identifying patient needs based on age specific data. Selects appropriate instruments and supplies and sets up tables as required for specific operations. Prepares and maintains the sterile field for all surgical procedures. Prepares and passes instruments, sponges, and supplies needed in the operative procedure and maintains a correct count. Functions as a member of the sterile team. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) or equivalent education/experience
Ability to successfully complete Basic Life Support Certification
Consistently works as a team a member and communicates effectively

Responsibilities
