About The Position
The Scrub Tech (Surgical Scrub Tech), Certified, Full-Time position is located at Community Hospital/Surgery. This role is crucial in preparing the operating room, assisting during surgery, and ensuring a sterile and efficient surgical environment. The Scrub Tech will prepare patients for surgery by cleansing and disinfecting incision sites, assist with patient positioning and draping to maintain sterility, and help clean and restock the operating room after surgery. A key responsibility includes maintaining accurate surgical counts of sponges, needles, and instruments to prevent retained surgical items. Additionally, the Scrub Tech will operate and maintain surgical equipment, such as lights, suction machines, and sterilization tools.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- One (1) year of related experience preferred
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
- Current and unrestricted Colorado state licensure as a CST
- Current BLS
Responsibilities
- Prepare the Operating Room
