Our patients have access to ground-breaking therapies, in a community setting, and may participate in national clinical research studies of drugs and treatment protocols. The primary duties for the medical scribe are to accompany the physician into the exam room in order to document each patient's interaction with the doctor. Scribes will use the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system in real-time to document dictation from the physician. Scribes are clerical in nature and are not patient care providers.

Requirements

A minimum of one year in the healthcare field required.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology required.
High school diploma, GED or equivalent education is required.
Valid Florida driver's license required for travel between clinics.
Background, drug, and nicotine screens.
All offers of employment at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute are contingent upon clear results of a thorough background screening.
As a condition of employment, FCS requires all new hires to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
FCS is a drug-free workplace, and all new hires will be subject to drug/ nicotine testing.
