About The Position

E&H Ace Hardware is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Screen Repair Associate to join our team. This role focuses on repairing and fabricating window and door screens, performing small equipment maintenance, and providing excellent customer service. The position involves various tasks including screen and window repair, small equipment maintenance, inventory management, customer service, and general store operations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management skills to ensure efficient repair turnaround
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching
• Ability to climb ladders and operate equipment with proper training

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in screen repair, glass reglazing, or small equipment maintenance preferred

Responsibilities

• Repair and rebuild window and door screens accurately
• Fabricate new screen frames to customer specifications
• Cut and reglaze glass windows as needed
• Provide detailed repair quotes and explain services clearly to customers
• Communicate repair updates and timelines
• Sharpen chainsaw chains, mower blades, and other small tools
• Ensure safe and proper use of sharpening equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Order and replenish screen repair materials and supplies
• Maintain adequate inventory levels and communicate needs to management
• Greet and assist customers with knowledgeable advice on repairs
• Answer phone inquiries regarding repairs and pricing
• Assist customers in selecting materials for custom screen and window solutions
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and transactions
• Ensure signage and pricing accuracy for screen repair services
• Assist with general store maintenance and merchandising as needed
