About The Position

Nesco Resource is hiring a Screen Print Operator for a fast-paced, quality-focused production environment in Gates, NY. This temp-to-perm role involves setting up and operating flatbed manual-feed screen-printing equipment, interpreting job specifications and engineering drawings, and ensuring high-quality output. The position includes working with a team and cross-training in other production departments.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and job orders.
• Basic math skills, including calculating rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving abilities in a standardized production environment.
• Excellent time-management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 5 pounds regularly.
• Willingness to work near mechanical equipment and be exposed to airborne particles or chemicals.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, crouch, and climb as part of regular work.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with flatbed screen-printing equipment.
• Experience with curing units.
• Experience with screen-stretching, exposure, and reclaiming devices.
• Experience with sheet-cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate flatbed screen-printing equipment to achieve optimal print quality.
• Gather materials, inks, and tools according to job specifications.
• Adjust press settings, including the squeegee, flood bar, and curing unit.
• Interpret and follow order instructions, engineering drawings, and job documentation.
• Conduct visual and statistical quality inspections and obtain first-piece approvals.
• Maintain and regularly clean printing equipment and the workspace.
• Document production output, job time, and maintenance or quality issues.
• Follow lean manufacturing practices and safety guidelines.
• Keep workstations organized and clean, and properly store tools and materials after production.
• Cross-train in areas such as inspection, assembly, doming, digital imaging, machining, screen preparation, and reclaiming.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
