About The Position

FNF Construction, Inc., a MasTec Company, is currently hiring for a Screed Operator. The screed operator is responsible for safely operating asphalt paving equipment, completing required safety training, and performing pre‑ and post‑shift inspections. The role requires basic knowledge of asphalt, milling, and paving, along with the ability to monitor milling operations and adjust controls to meet project specifications. Operators must communicate effectively with the crew, maintain and repair the screed drum daily, use proper PPE, and be willing to work varied shifts and travel throughout southwestern states as needed. Requirements

  • Basic asphalt knowledge including milling, paving, and ability to effectively operate equipment

Responsibilities

  • Complete all required safety training as scheduled and participate in all project TBT and safety meetings
  • Review SDS’s as needed
  • Perform pre and post shift inspections of assigned equipment and complete required logs/reports
  • Operate equipment in accordance with all company safety programs
  • Operate asphalt screed on the paving machine
  • Observe milling machine operation and adjust controls to ensure conformance with standards specified by the project owner
  • Must communicate with other crew members to ensure daily schedules are met
  • Inspect, clean, maintain, and repair the drum daily and report malfunctions to supervisor
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment appropriate for the duties performed
  • Willing to work various shifts according to project needs and willing to travel throughout southwestern states as assigned
