About The Position

Alliance Construction LLC is looking for an experienced scraper operator for a temporary job in Fargo, ND, lasting 2-6 weeks. The role involves using heavy machinery to move, dig, and level large amounts of earth for roadbeds, site clearing, and land preparation for construction. Operators manage the heavy lifting of dirt to ensure the ground is ready for buildings or paved roads.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
A valid Driver’s License (or Commercial Driver's License).
Ability to endure all weather conditions, constant bumps/jolts from the machinery, and demanding physical labor.
Excellent hand, eye, and foot coordination to operate multiple pedals, levers, and computerized controls at the same time.

Responsibilities

Safely maneuver twin-engine or single-engine scrapers (to load, haul, and dump dirt) and dozers (to push and level bulk earth).
Perform daily "walk-around" safety checks, including greasing parts, checking fluid levels, and connecting hydraulic hoses.
Cut, fill, and grade terrain to exact elevations.
Read and interpret construction stakes or electronic GPS monitors to know exactly how much dirt to add or remove.
Follow all safety rules to avoid hazards like underground utility lines and other equipment.
