About The Position
The Scorekeeper is a part-time, seasonal employee of the Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation Department, representing the athletic division. This employee answers to the athletic division staff and on-site center staff, and is expected to conduct themselves professionally at all times, as their actions reflect the entire organization. The scorekeeper will answer directly to the site supervisor to perform duties, expectations, and responsibilities.
Requirements
- At the time of application, candidates are required to be 14 years or older.
- Criminal History Record Check Requirement: To comply with Sessions Law 2025-16, applicants offered a position with the City may be subject to a criminal history record check of State and National Repositories of Criminal Histories conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) in accordance with G.S. 143B-1209.26. The City may consider the results of these criminal history record checks in its hiring decisions.

Responsibilities
- Keeping score and/or keeping time at various athletic events.
- Assisting Site Supervisor in pre-game and post-game maintenance.
