About The Position

The Town of Clayton is seeking applicants for a Part Time - Scorekeeper within the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a part-time position with a recruitment rate of $14.00 per hour. The work location is the Clayton Community Center in Clayton, NC (Johnston County). Requirements

Basic working knowledge of major sports such as baseball, volleyball, softball, and basketball and some knowledge of other sports
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Town employees and the public
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Some experience in community or group recreation activities in athletics, as an administrator, coach, or scorekeeper preferred.

Responsibilities

Keeps score for adult and youth sports leagues, keeping a scorebook and running a scoreboard
Assists in setting up gyms and fields for league play
Fills out accident report forms and incident report forms, and ensures the accuracy of reports filled out by other Athletic Aides
Fills out results forms and playing time sheets
Serves as site Supervisor when assigned to duties
Communicates issues and problems to full-time Athletic staff, and emergency personnel
Enforces Town of Clayton policies
Provides routine information on departmental policies, procedures, and services
Perform other duties as assigned
